Content approvals and FTC disclosure

Approve creator drafts or ask for changes from your dashboard, and learn what our FTC disclosure check covers before any sponsored post goes live.

Drafts waiting for you

Creator drafts appear under Content approvals on your dashboard once they have passed our disclosure check. Creators post only after you approve.

  1. 1Open the draft from Content approvals.
  2. 2Choose Approve (a note is optional) or Request changes (tell the creator what to change).
  3. 3Your decision is recorded and the creator sees it, with your note, on their dashboard.

Who can approve

The account owner and every colleague you invite, Member or Billing, can approve content or ask for changes.

The disclosure check

FTC rules apply to brands, creators and us. Before a sponsored post can be approved or published, our team completes a disclosure check and keeps the record. You can open the checklist from each draft. It covers:

  • The platform's paid-partnership label, where the platform has one.
  • A clear tag such as #ad, #sponsored or "Paid partnership" in the caption, before "see more".
  • On video, the sponsorship stated on screen and out loud.
  • Only the creator's real experience, and no medical or performance claims that can't be supported.
FAQ

Quick answers

Can a post go live without my approval?

No. Creators post only after you approve, and nothing is approved until its disclosure check is complete.

Why are tags like #sp or #collab not enough?

They don't tell viewers clearly that the post is paid, so they don't pass the disclosure check.
